The Lui's Woman of the Week: Yasmin Le Bon

Yasmin is truly an exceptional and magical woman. Lui’s sees her as an icon of beauty and grace. Yasmin began her career as a top model in the 80's and became one of the most influential models of her time. We absolutely love the work she has done in the fashion industry, however today we want to tell you about something slightly different…

When she met Simon Le Bon, the lead singer of Duran Duran, a very breath-taking love story had sparked. Many were very sceptical about the future of the relationship because of their career choices. Despite the public belief, these two were far from typical rock star & model couple. In 1985, Simon and Yasmin were declared husband and wife and two years ago couple celebrated their silver anniversary! To celebrate it, Yasmin invited her friends Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen and Eva Herzigova to appear in the music video “Girl Panic” by Duran Duran.

Lui’s loves the video since it shows those women we aspired to be years ago and whom we still see as the ideal of beauty.  Their faces, their postures, walks and smiles still have an empowering effect on the audience.

Today we chose Yasmin – a dynamic and real individual, a beautiful model, a loving wife, a mother of three gorgeous children, as the Lui’s Woman. Yasmin Le Bon has that feminine essence that Lui's brand believes in. Throughout time she appeared on the covers of the first American and British issues of Elle, as well as Vogue, I-D, Elle, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar and still manages to surprise and make an appearance.
